OCPA welcomes new Safety Nets Chair

June 18, 2008, GUELPH, ON – Ontario Corn Producers’ Association (OCPA) welcomes Jeff Davis, director from Elgin County as its new Chair of Safety Nets.

Mr. Davis was elected following the OCPA board meeting this week, and will succeed Jean Marc Beneteau, director from Essex county, who has resigned.

Chair of Safety nets is an executive position with OCPA, and plays an important role in government relations at the provincial and federal levels.

"OCPA's Board is pleased to have Jeff represent Ontario corn farmers in this capacity," says Dale Mountjoy, OCPA President. "We thank Jean Marc for his many years of service and look forward to his continued participation at the OCPA Board table."
